Scotland took on Australia in the third T20I at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh on September 7. Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first. Scotland lost their first wicket in the form of Ollie Hairs as he departed for 12 off eight balls. George Munsey and Brandon McMullen shared 34 runs between them for the second wicket before Munsey departed, scoring 25 off 17.

McMullen continued his striking only to find no support from the other end. Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross walked back scoring just eight and seven runs respectively. Micheal Leask scored just 13 runs and McMullen ended his lone fight by scoring 56 off 39 balls aided by three boundaries and as many sixes.

After his dismissal, the Scots orchestrated an identical slide as the last game. A pin-code-like scorecard down the order saw them post a mere 149 runs losing nine wickets. Cameron Green picked three wickets, mind you, he scalped two in the last game. Aaron Hardie and Sean Abbott chipped in with two wickets each.

Though the target seemed a cakewalk for Australia, Bradley Currie sent the opening pair of Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk back into the hut. But Mitchell Marsh and Green had other plans, and the plan was to shatter the hopes of the hosts. Both the batters put up a 61-run stand for the third wicket, with Marsh walking out of the turf scoring 31 off 23.

Tim David joined Green in the middle and scored a quick 25 off 14 leaving the other batters with very little to do. Green remained unbeaten on 62 off 39 laced with two boundaries and five maximums. Australia will leave Scotland with a 3-0 series win and a six-wicket win in the final game.
