Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant continued his marvellous form in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) as he registered his third half-century of the season during Match 40 against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Wednesday, April 24 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. After being put in to bat first, by GT captain Shubman Gill, Delhi were in trouble as they were 44/3 after 5.4 overs when Pant joined Axar Patel at the crease.

The wicketkeeper-batter started his innings cautiously as he scored just seven runs off his first eight balls. He finally got into the groove by pulling a half-tracker from Rashid Khan for a boundary in the 10th over. While Pant was getting settled at one end, Patel took on the bowlers from the other and stitched a crucial 113-run stand off 68 balls for the fourth wicket with his captain to stabilize the innings.
