WPL 2024 Match 11 Highlights: UP Warriorz Women vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Women Recap
Royal Challengers Bangalore Women beat UP Warriorz Women by 23 runs to register their third win of the season.
Royal Challengers Bangalore bounced back on the winning track as they beat UP Warriorz by 23 runs in Match 11 on Monday, March 4 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The Smriti Mandhana-led side came into the game on the back of consecutive losses and made a statement with their bat posting a massive score of 198/3 in their allotted 20 overs after being put in to bat first.
Captain Mandhana led from the front with her knock of 80 (50) clobbering ten fours and three sixes while Ellyse Perry also scored a brilliant half-century (58 off 37). In reply, UP could only manage to reach 175/8 in their allotted 20 overs with captain Alyssa Healy top-scoring with 55 (38). However, she failed to find support from other batters resulting in their third loss of the season.

1. Smriti Mandhana continues her Marvellous form
The RCB captain once again came out all guns blazing in the first innings and got her team off to a sensational start by adding 51 runs for the first wicket off 33 balls. Mandhana went on to register her highest score of WPL scoring 80 off 50 balls smashing ten fours and three sixes.
2. Ellye Perry and Richa Ghosh’s quick-fire partnership
Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh got involved in a quick-fire stand of 42 runs off 18 balls for the third wicket sending the ball to all corners of the stadium. Perry scored a brilliant half-century as she scored 58 (37) with the help of four fours and as many sixes, while Ghosh remained unbeaten on 21* (10).
3. Richa Ghosh takes a brilliant catch diving to her left to dismiss in form Grace Harris
The RCB wicketkeeper took a brilliant catch diving to her left to dismiss the third-highest run scorer of the tournament. Harris tried to be inventive as she attempted a scoop on the fifth ball of the eighth over by Sophie Devine. However, she failed to time the slower one and was caught by Ghosh behind the stumps who put in a terrific dive to her left to grab a stunner.
