Team India’s premier paceman, Jasprit Bumrah celebrated his 29th birthday on December 6. The right-arm pacer is widely regarded as arguably one of the most lethal bowlers in the world across all formats currently.

The Men in Blue have been fortunate enough to find a gem in Bumrah considering his abilities with the ball. Cementing his spot in the national team setup, Bumrah has played 30 Test matches with 128 wickets to his name. Furthermore, his white-ball records also have been terrific as he has featured in 60 T20Is and 72 ODIs and has scalped 70 and 121 wickets, respectively.

Bumrah was introduced in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 in their opening fixture against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), wherein the pacer racked up three wickets which included the wickets flamboyant right-hander Virat Kohli. Ever since his debut, the right-arm pacer has flourished into becoming one of the best bowlers of all time.

One of his most noteworthy matches came against the Three Lions in the Tour of England in the first ODI match. The pacer was instrumental in decking up the rival batting order as he took six wickets for just 19 runs in his 7.2 overs. With this, England were restricted to 110 runs in a 50-over contest upon which team India chased the total comfortably.

In 2013, Bumrah made his debut for Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy and helped in side clinch the title in his very first season. He also took seven wickets in his debut first-class match. On a seemingly flat surface at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Bumrah produced a stellar performance against the hosts, the Aussies as he sent them packing for 151 runs with his figures of 6 for 33 in 2018.

The pace spearhead has been facing issues with injury in recent times as he missed the Asia Cup 2022 and the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022. While the Indian side will be missing his services, Bumrah is gearing up for a return and will fire all cylinders upon his comeback.

Here is how cricketers wished the lethal pacer on his birthday
