Twitter Reactions: Shahid Afridi is back at his very best against Khulna Titans
Veteran Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has a habit of being in the news. Be it for his antics off the field, or his comments or for his match winning performances. Afridi was back in action after a brief break in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League. Playing for the Rangpur Riders, Afridi had his point to prove. He needed to show that he still has it in him to perform at the biggest stage. He started of his tournament on a high. Bowling a decent spell against the Chittagong Vikings ending with 1/12 in his four overs.
A better performance awaited him in the match that followed though. Playing against the Khulna Titans, Afridi did what he is best at. He ripped apart the Titans line up in the middle overs. Such was the guile and precision of his bowling, that the other bowlers got a strangle hold on the opposition too. Titans bundled out for a paltry 44 in their innings.
Afridi bagged 3 wickets in space of 8 balls to keep the run flow in check. He came in to bowl in the fifth over. Shahid Afridi struck gold on his very first delivery as he cleaned up Riki Wessels on 5. Alok Kapali was the new man in. However, what he received was a faster one from Afridi. Kapali got it all wrong and played it down the wrong line only to be found trapped infront of the stumps. That is how Shahid Afridi announced himself today – 2 wickets in two balls.
He sent the off stump of Shuvagat Hom flying to bag his third wicket in his next over. Hom had no clue about the length delivery that came his way and misjudged it to see his off stump go for a toss. The veteran Pakistani wasn’t done just yet. Just when someone thought that Afridi is all about bowling faster ones, he bowled a loopy one to Nur Alam. Nur Alam decided to go for an expansive drive on the off. He could manage to get an inside edge which rocked back at his stumps.

Afridi looked set for a five-for but the Titans denied him that. They ran out of batsmen. Khulna Titans bundled out for 44 in 10.4 overs as Afridi returned with figures of 4/12 in his 3 overs.
