Twitter Reactions: South Africa ride on Killer Miller's ton, seal the series!
The third One-Day International saw an extraordinary contest between Australia and South Africa. In a high-scoring thriller, the hosts emerged victorious and gained an unassailable lead of 3-0 with two matches to go. Earlier in the day, it was Steve Smith who won the coin battle as the visitors elected to bat first.
The Australian innings kickstarted with some magnificent display of hitting by both charismatic openers, Aaron Finch and David Warner. While Finch got out after scoring a fifty, Warner smashed the bowlers round the park and went on to hit a spectacular century.
Smith too hit a brilliant hundred as he along with some splendid cameos by George Bailey and Travis Head took Australia to an astounding total of 371/6 in their quota of 50 overs. It was a sensational batting performance throughout and it looked like Australia had got more than enough runs on the board.
The Proteas bowling lineup was hit all around the park. Dale Steyn got a couple of wickets but went for many runs. Even the other bowlers like Worrall were taken to the cleaners. Zampa, Tremain and Marsh got a wicket each but went for runs as well.

Chasing 372 was never going to be easy, but the South Africans came prepared and were up for the challenge. They were off to a rollicking start as Quinton de Kock set the tone for the batting order. While the Proteas were up to a fantastic start, they lost their way as they were reduced to 217/5.
From there on, it was David Miller who shifted gears and played a ruthless innings of 118 (79)* as he came out all attacking and hit boundaries at will. He was supported nicely by Phehlukwayo who rotated the strike well and scored the winning runs.
As for Australia, it wasn’t a great day out for the bowlers. No bowler was spared as the run fest continued in the South African innings as well. The Proteas reached the target in the last over as David Miller was declared the man of the match.
Twitter kept everyone entertained with some statistical, appraisal and troll tweets as the Durban crowd witnessed a nerve-wracking contest. All the centurions of the game were lauded along with de Kock and Finch while the bowlers were trolled for a poor day in the field.
