In a high summit clash between India and Pakistan, Virat Kohli again emerged as the saviour for India. Despite the Men in Blue losing three early wickets, Virat Kohli did not put a foot wrong during his unbeaten knock of 55 runs from just 37 balls.

Probably one of the best Kohli innings you’ll ever see, He played a scintillating innings under pressure. Even the great Brian Lara and Imran Khan were full of praise for his match-winning knock. His gesture to Sachin Tendulkar in the stands after reaching his half century was quite a touching moment for the fans.

This was India’s 11th consecutive win over Pakistan in the ICC World tournaments with Kohli scoring third successive half-century against them in last three world editions of shortest format. Thus Pakistan continued their winning drought against India in the World Cup games.
