The Gujarat Lions took on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a humdinger of a contest at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the second qualifier. Captain David Warner won the toss as SRH elected to field first. While SRH had New Zealander Trent Boult coming in for the injured Mustafizur Rahman, Gujarat Lions has Shivil Kaushik in place of Shabad Jakati.

Batting first, Gujarat were reduced to 19/2 but Brendon McCullum held things together along with Dinesh Karthik. Later on a brilliant half century by Finch followed by a quickfire cameo from Bravo ensured that Lions had a decent total to defend.

They ended up scoring 162/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Ben Cutting and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were the pick of the bowlers for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they got 2 wickets apiece.

On the other hand, SRH lost Shikhar Dhawan early. While Gujarat bowlers kept picking wickets on one end, David Warner with his exploits with the bat made sure that the momentum remained with SRH. He led from the front with a magnificent 93 not out from just 58 balls as Hyderabad successfully chased the target. Bipul Sharma also played an amazing cameo of 27 (11)*.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game by 4 wickets with 4 balls to spare. For GL, Kaushik and Dwayne Bravo got a couple of wickets each. Warner deservingly was announced the man of the match. SRH entered the IPL finals for the first time as they play RCB on Sunday.

Twitter kept everyone entertained with some splendid tweets throughout the SRH-GL qualifier game. Right from lauding Finch to trolling Sran, right from lauding Warner to trolling Gujarat bowlers, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
