Twitter trolls Navdeep Saini as he shares video with Harley Davidson
Navdeep Saini played just one game in the now-postponed IPL 2021.
The last few months haven’t been memorable for Navdeep Saini. The right-arm pacer was dropped from India’s ODI team for the England series earlier this year. While many expected him to bounce back in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the fast bowler didn’t get a chance in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) first-choice playing XI. Saini played just one game in the now-suspended tournament and returned with figures of 0/27 in two overs.
With Saini not being a part of India’s World Test Championship final squad against New Zealand, he’s currently spending time at home. Of late, the 28-year-old has been very active on social media and is constantly sharing photos and videos of his daily life activities. On Sunday, May 30, Saini took to Twitter and shared a video with his Harley Davidson motorbike.
Netizens troll Navdeep Saini
In the clip, a shirtless Saini can be seen enjoying the magnificence of his bike. “Accompany me on my bike to feel the fear @harleydavidson,” read the caption. Netizens clearly weren’t impressed with the fast bowler’s antics, and they asked him to focus on his cricket and enhance his game. Here’s how they reacted.
In July, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will send a team of white-ball specialists to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many T20Is. With the series against the Lankan Lions coinciding with the Test series against England, many big names will not travel to the island nation. Hence, Saini is all but certain to catch the flight to Sri Lanka. However, he will need to unleash his A-game to stamp his authority again.
Meanwhile, the cricket calendar is busy this year, with many important fixtures lined ahead. As confirmed by BCCI, the remaining IPL 2021 season will take place in the United Arab Emirates. Although Saini didn’t get many chances in the first half of the tournament, he might have a more significant role in the UAE leg, with many foreign players expected to miss the competition. Hence, Saini must gear up to unleash his best game and stake a claim in India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.
