At 36, MS Dhoni is arguably the most respected cricketer in India. In effect, he remains to have some say in what goes on during the field of play in the Indian cricket team despite the mantle of captaincy being shifted onto the shoulders of Virat Kohli. In spite of not making it into the squad for the Nidahas Trophy, Dhoni will be more than eager to return to the side in the grand scheme of things as far as the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL is concerned.

Returning as captain for the Chennai-based franchise in a tournament where he has had continuous success over the years, Dhoni has been one of the most marketable persons in the sport today. Ever since he had made it big in his tryst with Indian cricket all those years ago in 2005. Over the years, Dhoni has worked with several brands as the brand ambassador. His marketability as an athlete has been through the roof, to say the least. Reebok, CEAT, and Castrol are some of the top brands Dhoni has worked with in the past.

Most recently, Snickers – the American-based Chocolate bar which has indeed found its way into the Indian market signed Dhoni to do a quick commercial. The Indian skipper showcased his well-defined acting abilities as he sported long hair and a costume resembling that of a Greek Warrior.

Upon witnessing this, the Twitterati went absolutely wild as they saw the 36-year old sport this look and deliver his dialogues in such a manner to advertise and promote the Snickers brand.

Dhoni will return as the skipper for the Chennai Super Kings and will be hoping to give his side some sort of solace after being out of the league for two years following the suspension that the IPL committee had levied on the franchise.

Here are some of the tweets that made it big on social media
