Vernon Philander claims to have Twitter account hacked
The South Africa pacer had reportedly tweeted about the sledging from Steve Smith.

Hacking in social media platforms have become a common phenomenon nowadays. Several players have faced the wrath of phishers over the internet. Earlier this year, Mohammed Siraj’s Facebook account got hacked by a 14-year old of a watchman. Also, someone cracked Kuldeep Yadav’s Instagram account and posted explicit pictures from the social media website.
Australia is currently playing South Africa in a Test series. Apart from the contest between bat and ball, the series has always been a witness to some severe altercations between players from both the sides. David Warner’s brawl with Quinton de Kock is now an open secret. Thereafter, Kagiso Rabada barged into Steve Smith in his follow through for which he has been handed a two-match suspension.
Philander’s account hacked
Recently, Vernon Philander spiced up the contest when a tweet on his account sparked pertaining to the Rabada-Smith saga. In the tweet, he has alleged Smith and mentioned him as equally guilty in the shoulder-barging incident. The fast bowler also trolled Smith for intentionally trying to churn out a penalty stroke.
However, the tweet has later been deleted by the fast bowler and afterward, he claimed to have had his Twitter account hacked. Subsequently, he also apologized for the mishap.

The series between the Australians and the Proteas have been an exciting one thus far. Australia thumped the hosts in the opening Test at the Kingsmead in Durban. However, Kagiso Rabada and AB de Villiers brilliance helped South Africa draw level at Port Elizabeth. The third Test begins on March 22 at the Newlands in Cape Town and both teams will look to take the lead in the series. Meanwhile, the Proteas will be hoping to find an appropriate replacement for the all-important upcoming Test.
