Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma to host special reception for industry friends, cricketers

The power couple of the celebrity world, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, recently took their relationship to the next level. India’s most eligible bachelor stepped down from the isle of bacherlorhood as he got married to the gorgeous Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma. The couple got married at Milan, Italy, on December 11. The wedding ceremonies were highly secretive.

The news about their wedding was doing the rounds since the last couple of weeks. But both Virat and Anushka had kept mum on the issues. Certainly, they were firm is keeping their wedding far from the brouhaha of the paparazzi.

Pretty much until the day of their wedding, there was no confirmation on the wedding. It was Filmfare’s tweet that first made the official announcement about the wedding. Soon, both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma posted updates on their respective social media handles to confirm the news. They issued a joint statement regarding the same.

A grand reception

While the wedding ceremony was a highly secretive one and was only attended by the close friends and family of the Kohli and Sharma family, the wedding reception is set to be a big event. The invitation card of the wedding reception got viral on the social media too. December 21 is all set to be the date for the event.

How will Indian cricketers make it?

Well, the date of the reception seems to be a little tricky for the teammates of Virat Kohli. Team India is set to play T20Is against Sri Lanka on December 20 at Cuttack, and on December 22 at Indore. It becomes highly unlikely and improbable for them to attend the wedding reception on December 21 at New Delhi.

Here is the news though. The couple will host a separate reception event on December 26 at Mumbai. This will be for the industry friends of Virat and Anushka and the team members of the Indian cricket team. The couple will then fly to South Africa where Kohli will lead India in the full tour. Anushka will return back to India in the first week of January to shoot her next Bollywood movie with Shah Rukh Khan.
