Virat Kohli deleting appreciation tweet for MS Dhoni to add word ‘ever’ proves he’s the biggest MSD fanboy
Virat Kohli’s heaped massive praises on Dhoni's match-winning cameo against DC.
Cricket fans went in nostalgia on Sunday night (October 10) as MS Dhoni unleashed his vintage mode against Delhi Capitals. Having being woefully out of form with the bat, the Chennai Super Kings captain surprisingly came ahead of in-form Ravindra Jadeja. At the time of his arrival, the Men in Yellow needed 24 off 11 deliveries in order to qualify for the IPL 2021 finals.
Moreover, in-form Avesh Khan and Tom Curran were operating with the ball. While DC’s victory looked inevitable at that point, Dhoni played some delightful shots and dented Delhi’s plans. His six-ball 18 meant CSK crossed the line with two balls to spare in Qualifier 1. Needless to mention, the CSK skipper’s match-winning cameo set social media on fire with fans going down to the memory lane.
MS Dhoni made me jump out of my seat: Virat Kohli
While fans and members of the cricket fraternity lauded Dhoni’s finish, Virat Kohli’s tweet garnered maximum limelight. Hailing his CSK counterpart as the best finisher ever, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain shared a heartfelt message. “Anddddd the king is back the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight. @msdhoni,” tweeted Kohli.
It’s a known fact that Kohli admires Dhoni a lot and he never hesitates in expressing the same. However, his social media activity after the Qualifier game proved he’s MS Dhoni’s biggest fan boy. Prior to posting the above tweet, the current Indian skipper had made another post that he deleted later. “Anddddd the king is back the greatest finisher in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight. @msdhoni,” he had written in the post.
While both posts were pretty similar, Kohli decided to make another post in order to add the word ‘ever,’ justifying Dhoni’s greatness. Although the 32-year-old was quick to delete his initial tweet, the screenshot of the post went viral in no time. On most occasions, a celebrity gets trolled for deleting posts on social media. However, Kohli’s activities were lauded by one and all. Meanwhile, the talismanic batter will lead RCB against Kolkata Knight Riders in Eliminator on Monday (October 11).
