Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team captain, has been quite active on social media during this lockdown. He can be often seen having Instagram live sessions with fellow cricketers, spending quality time with his wife, and showing off is ultra work out regime. As things are less severe now and everyone is trying to get back to normal life, BCCI has also announced that IPL will kick off from September 19. Indian cricketers, who were waiting for the league to happen since March, will finally be seen donning their respective franchise jerseys.
On Saturday, the skipper showed off his new RCB kit on his Instagram account. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who is yet to win an IPL season, is led by the Delhi lad himself. The red colour pads were looking beautiful as Kohli will be looking forward to starting his practice wearing them. A lot of Indian cricketers including Rishabh Pant, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Ishant Sharma were earlier seen practicing as well.
The 31-year-old spent his time at home reading books and working continuously on his near-perfect fitness. He recently posted a video in which he explained how being at home hasn’t affected his fitness levels. Also in one of the Instagram live videos, he mentioned that as he was going to stay in an apartment in Mumbai, he brought all his gym equipment there.

This could be the year for Virat Kohli’s RCB
The auction for the Bangalore franchise went quite well this year as they were looking to fill the gaps. They brought in Aaron Finch, Australia’s limited-overs skipper, and attacking opening batsman, along with Dale Steyn, Isuru Udana and Chris Morris. This should end the debate for RCB’s weaker death bowling and a hard-hitting all-rounder in the lower order. A lot of cricket Pandits including former Indian opener Aakash Chopra have emphasized that this could be the year for RCB.
As the IPL is shifted to UAE now, Chopra also feels that having a short bowling line up could work as a blessing in disguise for Kohli and company. With three spinners in the tank and a solid attacking batting line up, RCB looks all set to take advantage of the dry conditions in UAE.
