Virat Kohli to equal MS Dhoni's long standing record as India take on Australia in Indore
Virat Kohli will want to seal the series at Indore and also achieve a record.
Team India has been battering Australians in the ongoing ODI series. They have been magnificent in all the three departments as they have seized the opportunity despite giving the Aussies a few chances to take advantage in the game. The Men in Blue are on song. They whitewashed the Sri Lankans in Sri Lanka and now look forward to doing the same to the Aussies at home.
This series is a prime example of India’s dominance in world cricket right now. They have managed to edge past all their opponents in recent times. The team’s batting mainstay and skipper Virat Kohli has been unstoppable in the process as well. He showed that he has the ability to become one of the greatest batters of all time. The Indian team is now looking forward to the 2019 World Cup.
Kohli to equal Dhoni’s record
Virat has been bettering every record MS Dhoni set during his tenure as a captain. Dhoni turned the fortunes of the Indian cricket team and took to another level and his successor is bettering the records he set. The 28-year-old looks all set to lead his team to the 9th consecutive ODI victory. This streak was last achieved by Dhoni’s team in 2008-09.
Team India was on a roll then with the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar leading the batting department dominating the bowlers with his supreme form. The team dynamics have changed ever since and this team looks fitter and better than any other Indian team.
Tomorrow if India crosses the line first then Virat will equal MS Dhoni’s record. To add to that, the Holkar Stadium has been very kind to Indian batters in the past and they haven’t lost a single ODI at this venue. The Indian skipper has won 29 One Day Internationals out of the 37 he has led the team in and that’s a winning percentage of 78.37.
