Virat Kohli’s love for EDM has been widely known. However many might not be acquainted with the fact that the Indian skipper is a fan of DJ Kygo. The DJ from Norwegian is in India currently for his Sunburn tour. He played an electrifying set in Mumbai yesterday.

While Kohli who has been taking in part in the Sri Lankan series missed the concert, he displayed his admiration for Kygo by sending across a special hamper. The souvenir basket contained a specially customized A Star speakers and headphones.

While it can be seen as a winsome gesture by Virat, this isn’t the first time the Indian skipper has shown his love for EDM. In the past, he showered his praises over the Belgina electro DJ duo of Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.

The prolific batsman has displayed significant form in the ongoing series. After a century at the Eden Gardens, Kohli registered his fifth double century in the last 18 months at Nagpur. His consistent run has even appalled his critics.

Tough tour ahead

Team India is slated to play an all-important series against South Africa in January next year. Recently, the Indian skipper was asked about the current workload and if he deserved a rest, Kohli had a good description about the same.

“Definitely, I do need a rest, why not? When I think of the time my body should be rested I will ask for it. I’m not a robot, you can slice my skin and check if I still bleed,” said the star batsman.

With the fate of the Test series in line, the team management has decided to field Kohli for the 3rd and last Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. But considering his overall workload and in an attempt to balance it also given the tough tour of South Africa that is around the horizon he has been rested from the ODI series against Sri Lanka that starts on December 10.
