Virat Kohli gives a stare to Kagiso Rabada after winning the LBW decision
India is currently looking good to post a total close to 300.
India and South Africa are currently involved in the third One-Day International of the six-match series at Newlands in Cape Town. The visitors are leading by 2-0 and will not lose the series if they manage to win the ongoing match as well. The hosts need a special performance from some player to trump the Indian juggernaut and the intensity was seen on the field. There was a moment when the tempers flared between Kagiso Rabada and Virat Kohli early on in the innings when he was given out LBW.
The incident took place in the third over of the Indian innings when Rabada was on fire. The third delivery was pitched on middle and leg and pinned Kohli in front after he missed the flick. The bowler including the close in fielders appealed for the leg before decision to which the umpire Ian Gould obliged and raised the finger. Soon after getting the decision in his favour, Rabada sledged Virat after which the Indian skipper also stared at him. He also reviewed the decision albeit only in hope.
Surprisingly the snickometer picked an inside edge of the bat even which the batsmen was unaware of and the on-field decision was overeturned much to the disappointment of Rabada. Virat Kohli had the last laugh in the tussle as he survived and is also on course for his 34th ODI century.

India placed comfortably
As far as the proceedings of the match is concerned, India were invited to bat first by the South African skipper Aiden Markram. Rohit Sharma was sent back to the hut in the very first over by Rabada for a duck after which Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli stitched a partnership of 140 runs for the second wicket. However, the home side hit back soon with quick wickets even as the Indian captian is leading from the front. Currently, India is comfortably placed at 190/4 after 34 overs and two of their best limited overs batsmen are in the middle.
