On fitness
The right-handed batter had earlier stressed on the importance of fitness. “The key is fitness. My fitness routine has changed with age. As a young kid, I was into running. Later, I started strength training. Now that I’m 34, it’s all about maintaining a good fitness level with proper recovery and rest periods. From the start, I’ve wanted to play for India for as long as I can. Sportspersons have a short career span. I’ve seen sportspersons retiring early, and then regretting it. I didn’t want to be like that.” she said.
