Virat Kohli or Joe Root, IPL or BBL - Eoin Morgan reveals his choices
Morgan was also asked to pick one between India and Pakistan.
Irish-born cricketer Eoin Morgan will lead England in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 and he will be the first captain to lead the Three Lions in two consecutive tournaments. In 2015, Morgan’s side witnessed a debacle as they failed to cross the preliminary stage but is considered a top favourite to win its maiden title this year. England are currently playing Pakistan in a five-ODI series which will be their final international assignment.
They take on South Africa in the opening game of the World Cup at the Oval on May 30. The 32-year-old southpaw, who is England’s highest scorer in the 50-overs and 20-overs formats, recently took part in a rapid-fire question session. There he faced some tricky questions from various fields, including cricket, food, personalities, other sports and TV programmes but did well in answering them briskly.
Morgan was asked two questions by ESPNcricinfo from which he had to pick one as his preference. He was asked to choose between his colleague Joe Root and Indian captain Virat Kohli and the England captain chose the former.
Morgan prefers ABD over Rohit Sharma
He also went for AB de Villiers when asked to choose between the South African and ace Indian opener Rohit Sharma. Even when it came to picking between former greats Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, Morgan’s vote went for the West Indian.
However, when asked to choose between India and Pakistan, Morgan backed the Men in Blue. His pick among the T20 Leagues was Indian Premier League over the Big Bash League, the domestic 20-over tournament of Australia.
Among other questions that Morgan faced, he picked Superman over Spiderman, English food over Indian, Prince Harry over Prince William, golf over rugby, etc.
