Virat Kohli reminisces one of his best childhood memories
Meeting your favourite stars is always an enthralling experience as a young kid playing cricket. Virat Kohli also went through the same excitement when he was a junior cricketer almost ten years ago when he met Rahul Dravid.
Kohli took a trip down the memory lane and shared a photo of him gazing in awe at his idol Dravid with another picture of him getting interviewed by the legend himself. Kohli nostalgically captioned the picture.
“Moments like these make you believe and feel grateful for where you are. Once I was trying to make eye contact with this legend as a child and then was interviewed by the same legend while playing test cricket for India. I guess dreams do come true. All you have to do is always believe in yourself.”
It is indeed a great moment of satisfaction when you achieve what you have always desired for. Kohli is currently at the top of the India’s cricketing scenes. The prolific batsman now leads India in Test format and a crucial man in the national team across all formats.
His Test record is wonderful for any young skipper. Kohli has led India in 12 Tests and has won 6 out of it. He tasted loss in only two matches while three of the games were drawn and one ended up as No Result. He also has the distinction of being the first captain to win a Test series in Sri Lanka in 2015.
His second overseas tour is also unfolding pretty positively for him. He is currently leading his side against West Indies in West Indies.
