Virat Kohli reveals the name of his ultimate favorite athlete

Team India skipper Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his time off the field. He had requested for a rest after a grueling season of cricket. Recently, he was seen attending a promotional event for watch company Tissot. At the event, he revealed the name of his favorite athlete. While many might feel that Kohli named Christiano Ronaldo to be the one, the name that Kohli took was of another legend.

Virat Kohli remarked that he absolutely reveres the tennis great Roger Federer. He noted that Federer is the ultimate favorite athlete for him. He reasoned out that Roger Federer has been getting better with age. At the age of 36, he is winning Grand Slams. Adding further on the same note, he remarked that he likes the players who break the norms and prove the critics wrong.

“Roger Federer is my ultimate favourite. When he plays it’s so beautiful. He has a family now, priorities set, he takes time out of the game without worrying about opinions and criticism of people and then he comes in and wins Grand Slams at 36, he is defying all the logic and that’s something I totally love,” Virat Kohli quoted.

“I hate following the norm and he is someone who is breaking barriers on a daily basis and I have huge respect for him,” he added further.

Kohli can be lazy too

Virat Kohli is known as one of the most active cricketers on the field. His energy levels are always high on the field. However, Kohli remarked that there can be times when he is absolutely lazy and does not feel like doing anything at all.

“I can sit and not move for hours. For all the energy that I may show on the field, when I get time at home, I can be a total vegetable. I can be very annoying because I do not move at all,” Kohli conceded.
