India’s ex-skipper across formats Virat Kohli had made a huge name for himself in the world and the name itself now makes for one of the biggest brands. In the latest turn of events, official Hopper HQ took out their Instagram rich list for the year 2021 and Kohli stands to be the only Indian to make it to the list in the top 20s.

Kohli bagged the 19th slot in the list where his charge per IG post stands to be a whopping $680,000 while having 179 million followers at the moment. The second Indian who has made it to the list in the top 30s is Priyanka Chopra Jonas who stands at 27th place while charging $403,000 per IG post.

It has to be noted that Kohli has made a huge name for himself in the sports fraternity across the world and stands to be the first cricketer on this list. Another cricketer who has made it to the list is South African star AB de Villiers at 76th position. The top slot on the list is bagged by mega football star Cristian Ronaldo who makes a whopping $1,604,000 per IG post.

Virat Kohli’s brand value to remain unaffected even without captaincy roles

The top five of the lists are Ronaldo followed by Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner, and Selene Gomez. Kohli on the other hand is the most followed cricketer on IG and also stands to be the most followed personality in Asia. Recently, he stepped down from Test captaincy after quitting the T20I and IPL captaincy earlier. However, it has been reported that it won’t largely affect his brand value and he would rule the ad world.

“In the short run, not being at the helm of things is unlikely to affect his value as a celebrity brand endorser. His relationship with Anushka Sharma, as a duo, will help ease things. But in the long run, his form will be key. Even now, every other ad that you see on TV has Dhoni in it,” said Santosh Desai, MD & CEO at Future brands India as quoted by TOI earlier.
