Virat Kohli slams people for trolling Anushka Sharma
India beat Australia in a super Sunday quarter-final contest in the World T20 at Mohali last night and the hero of the superb chase like on most recent occasions was once again Virat Kohli. The man walked in to bat at number 3 and stood there till the job was done. His 82-run unbeaten knock ensured the India sailed through the 161-run target quite comfortably. After the game, following the trends various messages and trolls did rounds on all social media platforms that correlated Virat’s relationship with Anushka Sharma and its impact on his recent performances.
Virat waited for the moment to pass, enjoyed the remarkable victory and also let the fans celebrate it, the next day, i.e. today put up a post on his Twitter handle with a photo reading ‘SHAME’
Since there is a word limit on Twitter he couldn’t express himself completely and put a post with the extended version of his statement on Instagram.
Virat wrote, “Shame on those people who have been having a go at anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport. If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity. This was long time coming. Shame on these people that hide and take a dig. And i dont need any respect for this post. Have some compassion and respect her. Think of how your sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public.#nocompassion#nocommonsense”
We just hope fans take a lead from this humble message from their favorite star who has been riding the hopes of a billion cricket fans and is doing his best to ensure India wins each time they take field. Can we show some sense and not bother him and for that matter any cricketer with such stuffs about their personal life, which really doesn’t own our say.
