Virat Kohli turns 'secret Santa' for the underprivileged kids in Kolkata
The Indian captain distributed the gifts to the kids before proceeding to shrug off the facade of being Santa Claus and come in his original avatar, leaving the kids gobsmacked.
It is that time of the year when every kid wishes for a ‘secret Santa’ to fulfill all their wishes. It is that time of the year when everyone is decorating their workplace or homes, giving special gifts to their friends, children, and their family members. It is Christmas time and the excitement and euphoria around the festival are blowing the rooftop across the world.
On festivals like Christmas, Diwali, Eid, Holi, and others, we tend to give the best of things to our kids. We buy them new clothes and a plethora of other gifts depending on the occasion or the festival. In-short we are their secret Santa. But, what about those underprivileged kids, who are living in an orphanage and have no one to fulfill what they want.
That all changed [Thankfully] for the kids in Kolkata when Indian captain Virat Kohli decided to become their secret Santa. In a heartwarming video shared by Star Sports India, the children can be seen expressing their wishes for Christmas.
Some of them wanted to meet icons like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Christiano Ronaldo, PV Sindhu, and of-course Virat Kohli, while few of them wanted to have a badminton racket or a football. “Watch @imVKohli dress up as 🎅 and bring a little Christmas cheer to the kids who cheer our sportspersons on, all year long! This joyful season, let’s remember to spread the love.” Star Sports India tweeted the video with the above caption.
