Here is what Virat Kohli wants to gift Yuzvendra Chahal
Chahal started flourishing under Kohli's guidance in the Indian Premier League whilst playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Team India skipper Virat Kohli shares great camaraderie with Indian leggie Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal has been playing under the leadership of Kohli for quite some time now. He started flourishing under Kohli’s guidance in the Indian Premier League whilst playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now, he is a key player in the Indian side that is led by the dynamic Kohli.
Currently, Chahal is in Sri Lanka playing in the Nidahas Trophy. Meanwhile, Kohli has opted for a rest ahead of the IPL 2018. Recently, Virat Kohli attended a promotional event for popular watch company Tissot. At the event, he was asked to pick a player who he would want gift a watch to. And without wasting much time, as per the quotes in Times Now, Kohli took the name of Yuzvendra Chahal.
He reasoned out that the leggie is always late and hence, he is certainly the one who needs to be gifted a watch. Furthermore, he even joked about it hoping the watch to be a rubber or an elastic one. This was in reference to the skinny frame of the Haryana leggie.
“I will give him a watch because he is always late. I will give him any watch just to keep a check on time…it will have to be a rubber band strap or something because all the other straps will be a little lose for him,” Virat Kohli quoted.
On taking the rest
Speaking on the other lines, Virat Kohli remarked that the rest he has opted for is going to benefit him. He feels that he will come out fresh in the IPL after this much needed break. He noted that the break will put him in a better place mentally.
“When I am done with this period, obviously in the IPL I will be coming out fresh. I will be mentally in a better place on the field. I have been on the road for a long, long time. I have hardly missed any games. You need to pay respect to your body as well at times and this phase is very important to me,” he added further.
