Virender Sehwag all set to ‘babysit’ in promo video for Australia’s tour of India
The series later this month.
India’s tour of Australia saw the visiting team win their Test series on Australia’s home soil, winning it 2-1 with triumphs in Melbourne and Adelaide respectively. The red-ball fixtures were also popular for some banters both intense and friendly. Rishabh Pant and Tim Paine, the wicketkeepers of their respective teams, took hilarious digs at each other when they came to bat.
The 34-year-old Paine called Pant a ‘babysitter’ and thereafter, the latter went on to call Paine a ‘temporary captain’ during Australia’s run-chase. The stump microphones recorded the conversation and it became a butt of jokes in the social media. Even the commentators stopped their job for a few seconds in order to listen to the players, getting involved in the friendly conversations.
Later, Bonnie Maggs, Paine’s better-half, posted a picture on her Instagram story where the 21-year-old Pant was seen carrying both her children. The picture went viral within a blink of an eye. The photograph was taken at the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s residence. On being asked about the incident, both Paine and Pant heaped praises on each other.
This time Sehwag babysits
After the completion of the tour, the Aussies are now scheduled to tour India for a two-match T20I and a five-match ODI series. The campaign starts with the 20-overs fixtures, which gets underway on Sunday, February 24 in Visakhapatnam. Bangalore and Hyderabad are the other venues. The ODI series starts on Saturday, March 2. Nagpur, Ranchi, Mohali, and Delhi are the other venues.
The promo video for the series has recently been released and it involved former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag. In the video, he was spotted playing with a baby feeding bottle. Stars Sports uploaded the clip of the same. Moreover, they captioned the video and wrote, “What is @virendersehwag up to?,”
