Virender Sehwag delivers a special birthday message to Chris Gayle
You are bound to be excited if it’s the birthday of your friend whose personality is just like you. Like in the case of Virender Sehwag who looked pretty upbeat about his dear friend Chris Gayle’s birthday.
Sehwag and Gayle share many similarities. Both are fun and jovial outside the field and are absolutely devastating when batting in the middle. Both share a great friendship too. So, it is quite obvious to say that Viru, who regularly posts funny tweets, was one of the first to wish Gayle on the special occasion.
Taking to the social micro-blogging site, Viru delivered a simple and meaningful birthday greeting to his good friend.
He wrote, “Happy Birthday to my friend and #UniverseBoss Chris @henrygayle. This year too – Gayle, Don’t Fail.
Gayle is a T20 legend and it is on very rare occasions that we see him fail completely. Bowlers fear and respect him for his destructive ability. He can simply shatter the confidence of any team within a matter of few overs. The message from Viru indicated the same thing.
The ‘Universe Boss’ as he calls himself, Gayle will be mighty busy today celebrating his 37th birthday. The Twitter is abuzz since last night wishing the Jamaican Giant all the very best for the future. Gayle also quickly replied with a ‘thanks’.
The both recently caught with each other in the BCCI president Anurag Thakur launched Gayle’s autobiography in the Delhi. Gayle says the autobiography titled ‘Six Machine’ is a no holds barred take on his life and will reveal many unknown facts about him.
Speaking on the launch of his autobiography, Chris Gayle said, “I’m really excited about releasing my first book. I hope it can reach far and wide, through cricket and beyond, for there are stories to tell and secrets I’ve waited a long time to share. Being me is fun. I don’t believe in boring. And Six Machine is me, in every way.”
Sehwag also spoke about Gayle at the event.
“Chris is one of the most fun-loving and genuine people that I’ve had the pleasure to interact with. His love for cricket shines through in his batting. I am glad that more people will now get to know the real Chris, the person behind the persona. I am confident that ‘Six Machine’ will be well received by cricketing fans around the world.”
