While the Indian cricket team is busy preparing themselves for the upcoming Champions Trophy, some former cricketers were out for a nice meal in England. Virender Sehwag threw in a lovely picture of himself dining with his family with other cricketing greats Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Gavaskar.

The focus has been on Sehwag following reports of him applying for the big job – head coach of the Indian Cricket Team. Having been roped in to lend their voices in the commentary box, the former opener along with Ganguly, Gavaskar and many others, have arrived in London for the mega-event.

Viru thus thought it fit to treat his former captain Dada and the little master. Sourav Ganguly, currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal, is in the UK also as a commentator for both Hindi and English languages.

The dashing opener took to social media and posted a photo of him along with the former India cricketers and their family. He posted the photo with the words- “Blood makes you related. Love and loyalty makes you a family. Great time with the legends #SunnySir [Sunil Gavaskar] and Dada [Sourav Ganguly] with family.”

Dinner time for Viru family and friends

The ICC Champions Trophy is already underway and was kicked off by the hosts taking on Bangladesh. England managed to pull off a clinical 8-wicket victory over the Tigers courtesy of a brilliant century by Joe Root.

Australia, however, would have breathed a sigh of relief as the second game of the tournament was called off due to rain. Batting first, New Zealand put up 291 in the first innings which was reduced to 46 overs. As rain interrupted play, Australia’s target was readjusted and the game was curtailed to 33 overs. However, all of that was in vain as rain had the final word.

The most awaited game of the tournament will be played on Sunday between arch rivals India and Pakistan.
