Virender Sehwag gives his blessings to Team India in a hilarious outfit
With the current situation of the match, the visitors certainly need his blessings.
Virender Sehwag is renowned for his witty and funny tweets ever since he has retired from the game of cricket. He never ever misses to amaze his fans and makes sure he always manages to interact with them. He is also aware of the birthday of his former teammates and makes their day with some brilliant messages. This time around though he has come up with a blessing for Team India who is currently playing in England.
The Indian bowlers are actually doing well at Edgbaston, especially Ravi Ashwin and Ishant Sharma, and have picked 7 wickets pretty cheaply in the second innings. The latter has breathed fire as he scalped Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler in a single over and reduced the hosts to 87/7.
Meanwhile, England have made a superb comeback thanks to the brilliant effort from Sam Curran. The advantage seems to have slipped from their hands as the lead is approaching 200 now which will be very tough to score given the conditions on offer. Moreover, the dropped catches haven’t helped as Dhawan dropped Curran while he was on 13 and they will certainly need these blessings from Sehwag who used to torment the best bowling line-ups with his batting.
Amidst this sensational performance from the bowlers, Virender Sehwag posted his image of being dressed like a saint and blessed Team India jokingly in the ongoing Test match. “Mera aashirvad sada hai Team India ke saath #jaibhole,” his message read.
Sehwag part of DDCA
Virender Sehwag was recently part of the new cricket committee appointed by Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA). He will work with his former Delhi teammates Aakash Chopra and Gautam Gambhir. All these cricketers have played for India before and have done extremely well. The trio is now expected to work towards the betterment of Delhi cricket which is in the mess for the last few years.
