Virender Sehwag and Mohammad Kaif urge people to quit smoking
Today, 31st May is celebrated as the World No Tobacco Day
Today, 31st May is celebrated as the World No Tobacco Day. It is observed in terms to consume no tobacco on this day and spread the message all around the world that tobacco is not good for health. This day is also to spread awareness about smoking and urge people who smoke to quit smoking. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag might be posting a lot of stuff lately due to Champions Trophy, but today he posted something worthy.
On the occasion of No Tobacco day, Sehwag asked people to quit smoking in his own style. It is not a tweet from Viru if it does not make you smile. He managed to crack a joke even in a serious message. He posted a photo of a car emitting smoke and asked people to stop doing it through their mouths and pollute the world.
His tweet read, “Please be eco-friendly. Don’t emit smoke out of yourself like this car. Apne mooh se pollution mat failao.#WorldNoTobaccoDay.”
Earlier in the day, Sehwag had also tweeted expressing his excitement about the approaching India v Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy. Both the arch-rivals will start their campaign in the tournament with the much-awaited clash which will be the first time they will play a game in more than a year with the last being the World T20 clash at Kolkata.
Mohammad Kaif does his bit
Kaif is normally an outspoken man and does not hold anything behind when it comes to Twitter. He also joined Sehwag in his quit smoking campaign on the World No Tobacco day. The former Indian batsman tweeted saying that he does not like to tell people to do stuff but rather requested all the people to smoke to give up smoking.
His tweet read, “Normally don’t like telling people to do this or that, but request all those who Smoke to have the will-power & give it up#WorldNoTobaccoDay.”
