In the wake of the terrorist attack on the Indian Army in the Uri district of Jammu & Kashmir, Virender Sehwag has been one of the many cricketers who have come out and condoned the acts of terror on the good people residing in the Kashmir Valley.
However, with Sehwag’s twitter account proving to be as active as ever, the former opening batsman has resorted to tweeting about a peace truce in the valley.
In his most recent tweet, Sehwag acknowledged a fan from Pakistan before going on to advise the mass Pakistanis about their own country’s terrorism. In effect, Sehwag’s tweet roughly translated to the simple fact that the Pakistani citizens should take a stand against terrorism rather than staying mum and allowing the current status quo to prevail.
#Great respect for you @virendersehwag viru paaji from Pakistan.

In recent times, Virender Sehwag and his twitter account have been in the news for supremely jovial reasons. Birthday wishes are turned into inadvertent trolls while the battle with Piers Morgan raged on for days together, and not to forget the uncanny and witty requests to ministers in the Indian government are bare epitomes of the Sehwag twitter base.
However, while no one certainly saw the Pakistan and Uri-centered tweet coming, one can only commend the former dashing opening batsman for his empathy towards the situation on the Indian border.
#Great respect for you @virendersehwag viru paaji from Pakistan.

His tweet read: “Thanks for d respect. But if a country indulges in terrorism, even citizens of country indulging shud voice against it”
A plethora of tweets poured in from different parts of the globe condemning the attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack and assured the nation that those behind the act will not go unpunished.
Here are some of the replies to his Tweet:
@virendersehwag @Iamafk well said Viru Bhai.
