The Pakistan Cricket team hasn’t been short of prodigious talents over the years and it’s not a surprise that the team has been a force to reckon with in all three formats of the sport. The Men in Green are currently the top-ranked team in ODIs and recently they also managed to beat England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Stadium in June during their tour of the United Kingdom (UK).

The Green Army has also risen above expectations on quite a few occasions. Last year in the Champions Trophy in England, Sarfraz Ahmed and his men weren’t considered to be among the favorites, but they defied the odds and beat India in the final to win the championship. The country also has the popular T20 event in the Pakistan Super League, a tournament which brings forth a number of talents every year.

Abundance of talents

In the batting department, Pakistan have had the likes of Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Hanif Mohammad and others who have been tough nuts to crack for the best of opponents. Their brand of cricket has enthralled one and all. In the bowling lineup, they have boasted of cricketers like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis Shoaib Akhtar, Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Qadir who have been no less than phenomenal.

The above-mentioned players have retired, but the fan following for them hasn’t died down one bit. Recently, a nine-year-old kid by the name of Ehsan Ul Lah expressed his desire to meet Waqar Younis, his favorite cricketer. He hails from Abbottabad and is an aspiring cricket. In a video, he has been seen taking a long run-up and charging in to bowl. Moreover, he also played an immaculate drive through the covers as shown in the clip.

Waqar was quick to spot the message and he obliged to his wishes, saying that he would love to meet up the youngster. He took to Twitter and wrote,  “No shortage of talent in Pak.. Looks a very natural & promising young boy…I would Love to meet up and share my experience with him.. I’m always a big admirer of young talent”
