December 6 marks the birthday of three Indian cricket players namely pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and swashbuckling batsman Shreyas Iyer. Wishes poured in for all the three international cricketers from all over the world on social media.
Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab batting coach Wasim Jaffer utilized this opportunity to subtly troll the former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) extended their warm wishes to the three cricketers via their official Twitter handle. BCCI tweeted, “Wishing #TeamIndia trio of @Jaspritbumrah93, @imjadeja and @ShreyasIyer15 a very happy birthday.”
Jaffar, who is quite active on social media and is known for his wit and humour, retweeted this post by BCCI and took a sly dig at the former Pakistan captain. Jaffer shared a meme featuring Sarfaraz Ahmed on which it was written “My wish is also same nothing different no difference.”
Notably, during the press conference of all the international captains before the commencement of the 2019 World Cup, Sarfaraz had become an easy target for the trollers and memers after he had said, “My answer is also the same,” while agreeing to an answer given by Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

India up against Australia in three-match T20I series
Meanwhile, all the three cricketers Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja are involved in the three-match T20I series against Australia. After losing the One-Day series by 1-2 against the Men in Yellow, India had commenced the T20I series on a winning note by registering a comprehensive victory by 11 runs.
Jadeja had emerged as the hero in the first T20I as he had smashed unbeaten 44 runs off 23 deliveries to propel India to a total of 161 for 7 in their 20 overs. However, in the second innings of the game, Yuzvendra Chahal was named as the concussion substitute for Ravindra Jadeja after the latter was hit on the helmet on the delivery by Mitchell Starc in the last over of India’s batting. Chahal had emerged as the trump card for India as he had bowled a stunning spell of 3/25.
In the second T20 International at Sydney Cricket Ground, Bumrah is given rest. Shreyas Iyer is included in the playing XI in place of Manish Pandey as he is suffering from an elbow niggle.
