Watch: Adam Zampa takes a stunner in CPL
Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been honing his cricketing skills by participating in various leagues around the world. He impressed most with his bowling in the BBL and that is what earned him his Australia cap. Zampa followed it up with impressive show in the IPL and has been bowling well in the ongoing CPL.
In the CPL match between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs Zampa clinched a stunning catch at square leg to dismiss Andre Russell for 24. He showed remarkable reflexes and a safe pair of hands to hold onto a full-blooded sweep shot from the West Indies all-rounder. The young Aussie leggie didn’t break into a huge celebration. He barely smiled to celebrate the stunning effort.
Set a target of 130 to win by Guyana, Russell’s departure left Jamaica in a difficult position at 5/45 after five overs. However, it was still a great improvement from where they actually were at 4/2 in the second over and in that situation the all-rounder had walked into the middle.

Jamaica lost three wickets in the first over, with Chadwick Walton and Rovman Powell caught behind off the bowling of Sohail Tanvir, either side of an embarrassing run out for Andre McCarthy, who departed for a duck.
Sangakkara was then caught behind off Ali Khan on the first ball of the second over, bringing Russell to the crease for a 43-run partnership with Shakib Al Hasan. That partnership proved pivotal in the game, with Chris Gayle who batting down the order due to a back injury scored 45 off 29 balls and Hasan scored 54 off 47 balls to take Jamaica home with 25 balls to spare and five wickets in hand.
