Just few day after Shane Warne chose his ‘All Time XI,’ England’s One-Day International (ODI) skipper Eoin Morgan named his All Time XI. In a video posted by Lord’s Cricket Ground on their official YouTube channel, Morgan picked his preferred eleven featuring legendary cricketers and few current superstars.

Morgan chose English Test skipper Alastair Cook and Jacques Kallis as the openers in his team. At three comes Australian legend Ricky Ponting, known as the greatest Australian batsman after the immortal Don Bradman. Cook was also appointed as the captain.

At four comes Brian Lara who is reckoned as one of the greatest to have played the gentlemen’s game. Modern Maverick AB de Villiers takes up the number five position. Kumar Sangakkara also grabs the number six spot in the side as he has been one of the big scorers in Test cricket.

Any modern XI without world’s greatest finisher MS Dhoni would be incomplete and Morgan also felt the same, adding him as the wicketkeeper-batsman.

Morgan’s bowling attack is a lethal combination of pace and swing with James Anderson, Mitchell Johnson and Dale Steyn. It’s a formidable selection as all three can rip apart any batting attack with their menacing pace and swing. The only spinner to make it to the side is India’s spin bowling great Anil Kumble.

Eoin Morgan’s All Time XI: Alastair Cook (C), Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Kumar Sangakkara, MS Dhoni (WK) Anil Kumble, James Anderson, Dale Steyn, Mitchell Johnson.
