It’s always amazing when your wish comes true. People always ask for something or the other. However, not everyone is as lucky as Kevin Pietersen was yesterday. A couple of times it has happened that commentators try to guess the batsman who is going to get out next or say a bowler wishes that a particular player gets out early as he can have a huge impact on the game. And, yesterday during the Melbourne derby match between the Renegades and Stars, Kevin Pietersen did exactly the same.

KP was talking with the commentators while fielding during the match as Renegades openers Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch were batting. Gayle was at the strike. He is always a match-defining factor in a T20 contest and that is what the commentators were discussing with Pietersen.

He was just chatting with the commentators that he was feeling happy after landing back in Australia. But, he would be extremely happy if Gayle, who was ready to play the next ball just knocks a catch to him. He said, “If that bloke down there, who is currently batting knocks one up in the air here. He starts slowly but he can explode”

John Hastings pitched a short ball at Gayle and as luck would have it, the West Indian lost his grip off the bat and top edged the ball directly to Kevin Pietersen standing at mid-off. “Can you believe it, He asks for it and it’s all coming up roses for Kevin Pietersen”, said the amazed commentator as KP celebrated the wicket with the rest of the Stars with a wide smile on his face.
