Watch: MS Dhoni effects a couple of super stumpings
Indian skipper MS Dhoni has always been known for his ability behind the wickets be it catching or stumping, he has the safest pair an Indian wicketkeeper has had and his skills were on display once again against Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I of the series. After India batted first and scored 196, it was time for the visitors to try and chase it down.
Dhoni instantly handed over the ball to his trump card Ravichandran Ashwin and Ash on the very first ball deceived opener Tillakaratne Dilshan and the skipper in a flash collected the ball and dislodged the bails even before Dilshan could react and get his feet back in the crease. India had a breakthrough on the very first delivery and that never allowed the Lankans to come back in the game.

Sri Lanka were 68/3 at that stage and on the 3rd ball of the 11th over we once again saw a super fast stumping by Dhoni. Jadeja found just enough turn and bounce to beat the outside edge of Dinesh Chandimal’s bat. Chandimal reached out and tried to push it outside off and during that lost his balance. The back foot was in the air when Dhoni quickly whipped off the bails.

The expected reaction time that he took to dislodge the stumps was between 0.28 to 0.31 seconds. It happened at a supersonic speed. The third umpire confirmed that Chandimal’s feet was off the ground and it gave India another wicket. Dhoni’ glove work proved to be a key in India’s 69-run win over Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I.
