Watch: MS Dhoni's lightning fast stumping to dismiss Luke Ronchi
Indian ODI skipper MS Dhoni and his lightning quick hands are nothing new to the cricketing world. By effecting in the stumping of Luke Ronchi, MS Dhoni recorded 151st stumping in international cricket – the most by any wicket-keeper ever.
It was a sweetly turned from the leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who gave it some flight and drawn the batsman forward. Ronchi was on his way to drive the delivery, but in the process, he dragged his backfoot out of the crease.
Dhoni was eagerly waiting behind the stumps and like lightning had shattered the stumps. He had his hands right by the stumps, not behind them like many other wicket-keepers around the world, and thus had a lot lesser distance to cover.
Dhoni was confident with the appeal and the replays ensured that the batsman is short of the crease and was sent back to the pavilion. Ronchi scored just 1 run of the 3 balls he played and Mishra claimed his second wicket.

Earlier in the match, Ross Taylor was also dismissed in a similar fashion, who looked good for his 56-ball 44. It was another slow, tossed up delivery from Mishra which drifted into Taylor. He came forward and tried to flick the ball on to the on-side, but it went past the leading edge into the hands of Dhoni, who completed the stumping.
New Zealand went on to score 285 runs in the 3rd ODI of the 5-match series. The series is all leveled after India winning the first ODI and New Zealand beating India in a hard fought second ODI.
