This match was a fate decider for the Indian Cricket Team. One, this match was the first match after the 4-1 drubbing against Australia in Australia. This was one the last T20 bilateral experiences India would be facing and winning it would help boost their confidence. Also if India wins the series 3-0, they’ll directly jump to the first rank in the ICC T20I Team Rankings.

Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina played really well to help India set a huge target for the bowlers to defend against the Kangaroos. Every cricket fan was hoping they both would take India to a huge target but Raina unfortunately fell to a brilliant Yorker by James Faulkner with 4 balls remaining. Everybody expected Yuvraj to come but it was MS Dhoni who walked to the crease.

The first ball he faced was a length ball on the pads and Dhoni went deep into his crease and easily cleared the fence at long-on. It was Dhoni’s iconic helicopter shot and with it, he answered his critics about his retirement with a massive hit into the stands.

Dhoni hit a four in the next ball and gave the strike to Virat Kohli. Dhoni’s cameo, Kohli’s unbeaten 90 and other knocks by the batsmen ensured India got to a total of 188. MS Dhoni in the end remained unbeaten at 11 runs in just 3 balls he faced. It is a known fact as to how strong MS Dhoni is in the end and he can turn the equation to his team with his power and the variety of shots in his book.  He proved it again that he is one of the World’s great finishers with his cameo in the end. India ended up defending the total and win the match comfortably by 37 runs.
