Watch: Rohit Sharma inspires Mumbai Indians camp ahead of KKR clash
"I am hoping that we play out best game against KKR and we will worry about the finals later," he said.
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the second Qualifier of the IPL 10. The winner of the game would take it all and the loser would get nothing. Whoever wins the game, will set up the final clash with the Rising Pune Supergiant at Hyderabad on May 21. Considering the high-intensity clash, skipper Rohit Sharma recently had a rallying cry for his teammates and the entire Mumbai Indians camp.
Taking the head-to-head clashes into consideration, the Mumbai Indians hold an edge over the Knight Riders. Hence, Rohit believes that the team would be confident going into the game. However, the team will not be complacent and give their best shot on the day when it matters.
“We will be confident against these guys (KKR) but I believe that whoever is good on the day will win the match. We will not be thinking that we have beaten them twice in the competition. We have to come out and do what we have been doing as a team,” quoted Rohit Sharma.
He is not thinking about the finals at the moment and is taking one game at a time. The focus is entirely on the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Rohit Sharma has urged his team to come out with a positive intent in the game and give their best shot in the 40 overs of play on the day. There is very little they can do about the conditions at the venue.
“You have to focus on the job at hand which is coming out here and play good cricket. I am hoping that we play out best game against KKR and we will worry about the finals later,” he said.
“We have to come to the ground with a positive frame of mind thinking that there will be 40 overs of play. Conditions are conditions and it is something that you cannot control,” Rohit added further.
