Suresh Raina is one of the most electric fielder the current Indian team boasts off. He hardly fails to deliver and is at his best wherever he is employed in the cricket field. And, today, the outstanding cricketer yet again gave a reason to speak high of him after he put in a wonderful effort to dismiss Ross Taylor.

The Super 10 stage of the World T20 began with Indian taking on the New Zealand at the VCA Stadium, Nagpur. The match began on an awesome note with Martin Guptill hitting a six off the first ball bowled by Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin replied striking of the very next delivery of the ball. Two more wickets fell in short succession and in came Ross Taylor. The experienced Taylor, who is currently going through a rough phase in the T20 format, was needed to play an extraordinary innings to save New Zealand from the dangers of crumbling badly.

He started cautiously and looked to be getting set until Suresh Raina, who was brought in the 12th over of the match, produced a brilliant fielding effort to cut short his stay at the crease.

Corey Anderson nipped the ball back to Raina who backed up brilliantly in his follow-through. Raina dived to his left and quickly collected the ball and threw ball at the stumps while still in the motion. Taylor, who was well outside the crease by now could not return into the safe zone in time and was caught short convincingly.

It was a highly incredible effort by Raina. Incidentally, it was because of Raina that Taylor came into the crease after the southpaw claimed the wicket of Blackcaps skipper Kane Williamson. Raina eventually finished with final figures of 1/16 in his four-over spell.
