'We hear Maldives is great in April and May' - Rajasthan Royals come up with hilarious message for Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan

India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah got hitched to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on Monday. The right-arm pacer finally brought an end to all the speculation surrounding his wedding. Bumrah took to his social media accounts to announce the news of his marriage to Sanjana. He as well as Sanjana posted adorable photos from their wedding.

The newly-weds shared the photos with the same caption that read: “Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.” According to media reports, the pre-wedding rituals were completed in Goa on Sunday (March 14) while the wedding took place on Monday.

It was a private affair as less than two dozen guests were allowed for the event. The guests were reportedly asked not to carry their mobile phones for the ceremony as the couple wanted to keep the affair a secret. Last month, Bumrah was released by Team India before the fourth Test against England due to ‘personal reasons’.

Since his departure, speculations over his wedding surfaced on social media. The rumours intensified with each passing day. At first, Bumrah was linked with South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran before the rumours were quashed by the latter’s mother. Soon he was linked with Sanjana but the love birds managed to keep the entire thing under the wraps.

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan have been flooded with warm wishes since they announced the news of their wedding. Several of his teammates including Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Mayank Agarwal wished them on the joyous occasion. Several former India stars, as well as fans, wished the couple too.

But the message that has caught everyone’s attention was from IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter account. The Royals congratulated Bumrah and Sanjana on their wedding before hilariously suggesting that the couple can take off to the Maldives for their honeymoon during the months of April and May, the months when IPL 2021 will be played.
