'We will have Ram ke Chole Bhature today'- Swiggy's special tribute to Virat Kohli after he steps down as the Indian Test skipper

Virat Kohli shocked the world by announcing his decision to step down as the captain of the Indian Test side on 15th January 2022. The 33-year-old also added that he has always given his best for the team’s cause, and has taken this decision with complete clarity.

Kohli had earlier stated on the show Breakfast with Champions hosted by Gaurav Kapur that he loves to have Ram Ke Chole Bhature in Delhi.

And now, Swiggy has taken to Twitter to pay a special tribute to the cricket legend. Swiggy tweeted that they will have Ram Ke Chole Bhature with a little onion, chutney and pickle.

“Thank you for making us love the blues in whites for 7 years, king Kohli. we’ll have Ram Chole Bhature today with thode pyaaz, hari chutney, gajar aur mirch ka achaar,” tweeted the official handle of Swiggy.

Virat Kohli also expressed his gratitude to many parties after stepping down. First up, Kohli thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for giving him the opportunity to lead the country, and also went on to thank all his teammates as well.

“I want to thank the BCCI for giving me the opportunity to lead my country for such a long period of time and more importantly to all the teammates who bought into the vision I had for the team from day one and never gave up in any situation,” stated Kohli in his tweet.

The legendary cricketer also thanked the former head coach of the Indian side, Ravi Shastri for helping Indian cricket move upwards as well as MS Dhoni for believing in his ability as a leader.

“To Ravi Bhai and the support group who were the engine behind this vehicle that moved us upwards in Test Cricket consistently, you all have played a massive role in bringing this vision to life. Lastly, a big thank you to MS Dhoni who believed in me as a Captain and found me to be an able individual who could take Indian Cricket forward,” concluded Kohli.
