West Indies vs Scotland Head to Head in T20Is, ODIs, & Records

The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will get underway on Sunday, October 16. However, the main draw will begin from the 22^nd when the reigning champions Australia lock horns with Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. However, before that key clash there will be group fixtures between the 16^th to the 21^st consisting of eight teams divided into two groups each. The teams from both the groups finishing in the top 2 will make it to the Super 12.

Surprisingly, the two-time T20 world champions the West Indies will also be competing in the group stages. With the absence of some of their key players including the power-hitter Shimron Hetmyer, the Windies will need to pull up their socks if they are to go all the way this time around.

Meanwhile, the Caribbeans will be facing Scotland on Monday, October 17 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Both are placed in Group B. While the Windies look the outright favourites on paper, the Scottish unit is also capable of pulling an upset over the former world champions. As far as their head-to-head encounters are concerned, both teams have never faced off in a Test match.

At the same time, it also needs to be noted that both teams have never locked horns with each other in the shortest format and the upcoming T20 World Cup encounter will be their first-ever in T20Is. As far as their ODI H2H encounters are concerned, both teams have only met thrice with the West Indies coming out on top on all three occasions.
