Rashid Khan, the Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner, recently played in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. Even as his teammates looked lacklustre, to say the least, the Afghanistan cricketer mostly looked on top of his game.
Though he couldn’t get a lot of wickets, he kept churning out frugal economy rates. At the time of the IPL’s suspension, the SRH stayed at the bottom of the table. In the meantime, Rashid posted a picture where he can be seen in a large home.
In the hashtags, he made people aware of the need to follow the necessary protocols in the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of the users were left awestruck by the size of the house.

England women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt also shared a cheeky comment on Nangarhar-born Rashid’s post. She commented and wrote, “What a palace.”
Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh asked Rashid to share more pictures from the house. “Kyaa baat hai. Share few more pictures of ur mention brother.” Harbhajan played for the Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Eoin Morgan.
Earlier, Wyatt was disappointed after the IPL 2021 had to be postponed for an indefinite time period. She wrote, “So sad seeing a country I love so much go through this. Stay safe everyone. You will get through this.”
29 matches were possible after which the Board of Control for Cricket in India had to pull the plug on the tournament. As per reports, the Indian board is looking for a window in September to finish the remaining games.
“We have suspended the IPL for now. The new window will be worked out later on. A statement will follow soon,” IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel told Sportstar on Tuesday.
“The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect.
“The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind,” the BCCI stated.
