When and Where to Watch England Women vs India Women Live Streaming, Match Preview, Timings, and Pitch Report for 2nd ODI
In the first ODI at Bristol, Heather Knight and Co outplayed their opponent in all three departments.
The three-match ODI series between India Women and England Women started off in a rather one-sided manner. The hosts won the opening match by eight wickets with more than 15 overs to spare.
Barring Mithali Raj’s 108-ball 72, none of the Indian batters could go on and garner a significant score. Punam Raut and Deepti Sharma got into their 30s, but couldn’t carry on.
The English bowlers were economical and Natalie Sciver turned out to be their most expensive bowler with an economy rate of 4.60. India scored 52 runs in their last 51 balls, but it only took them past the 200-run mark.
Tammy Beaumont and Sciver’s half-centuries meant that the home team got over the line without much trouble.
The second match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 30 at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. It remains to be seen if India can make a comeback next time.
Playing combination for ENGW vs INDW
England Women
Lauren Winfield couldn’t get going in the previous match as she managed a 20-ball 16. With Beaumont in top form, the right-hander will be looking to get some runs under her belt.
Beaumont, on the other hand, looked in excellent touch after scoring a run-a-ball 87 with 12 fours and one six. Heather Knight didn’t bowl and she couldn’t make an impact with the bat as well.
Sciver didn’t get a wicket but made up for it with an unbeaten 74. In bowling, Ecclestone, Brunt, and Shrubsole are in good form. Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn will also be looking to get among the wickets next time around.
Predicted XI
Lauren Winfield, Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight (C), Natalie Sciver, Amy Jones (wk), Sophia Dunkley, Anya Shrubsole, Katherine Brunt, Sophie Ecclestone, Kate Cross, Sarah Glenn
Bench: Mady Villiers, Emily Arlott, Freya Davies, Natasha Farrant, Fran Wilson
India Women
India women have plenty of work to do in the batting department. Their batters couldn’t press the accelerator in the hour of need. In the upcoming game, a lot will depend on how Smriti Mandhana and the 17-year-old Shafali Verma start the innings.
Skipper Mithali can’t afford to drop her guard either. In the bowling department, Jhulan Goswami looked in some sort of rhythm. The others looked in awful form.
Ekta Bisht leaked runs at nearly seven per over, though she got rid of Knight. Harmanpreet Kaur had an off day as she got out in single digits and then bowled at an economy of 7.20.
Predicted XI
Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Mithali Raj (C), Punam Raut, Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Jhulan Goswami, Ekta Bisht/Poonam Yadav
Bench: Priya Punia, Jemimah Rodrigues, Indrani Roy, Arundhati Reddy, Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana, Poonam Yadav/Ekta Bisht
