The first T20I match between Pakistan and the West Indies was played in front of literally an empty stadium in Karachi. A sparse crowd turned up for the encounter between the two sides, and this left former Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram gutted.
Akram took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on this matter. The 55-year-old tweeted that he is sad to see an empty stadium in the city of Karachi for the 1st T20I.
Akram also added that the Pakistan side had performed well in the recent past and has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give him an answer as to why the crowds have not turned up.
“Incredibly sad to see an empty stadium in Karachi for the PakvsWI T20I especially after the performance of Pakistan Team in the last month. I’m pretty sure I know why but I want to hear from you! Tell me, where is the crowd and why??,” tweeted Wasim Akram.

Pakistan has taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against West Indies
The Babar Azam-led Pakistan side has produced a sensational performance in the T20I series against the West Indies and have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. While Pakistan thrashed the ‘Men in Maroon’ in the 1st T20I by 63 runs, they beat the West Indies by just 9 runs in the second rubber.
On the other hand, Wasim Akram is arguably the greatest bowler that the Pakistan side has ever produced. The legendary left-arm seamer is the highest wicket-taker for the Pakistan side in both Tests as well as in ODIs.
While Akram scalped 414 wickets in the whites, he picked up a staggering 502 wickets in ODI cricket. Akram played his last international match for the Pakistan side in the year 2003.
