“Who told you Hardik Pandya is my friend?”- Esha Gupta bursts out on being asked about the cricketer
"I don’t want anyone to feel bad."
Over the last few days, a controversy surrounding Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been doing the rounds. The 25-year-old made some sexist remarks on women in the show Koffee With Karan after which his career has gone into the doldrums. The youngster has been handed an indefinite suspension pending enquiry into the matter and has been asked to return midway from the Australia tour.
Diana Edulji, a part of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) also hinted that the cricketer may also miss out on playing the World Cup in England and Wales. People from various fraternities have been asked to opine on the matter. Recently, Esha Gupta, the popular Bollywood actor, who was rumoured to have dated Pandya earlier last year, was also asked about the controversy.
However, the questions hurled at her didn’t please her by any stretch of the imagination. She lashed out the reporters, quashing all the rumours pertaining to their speculated relationship. Furthermore, she talked about the difficulties of a woman and didn’t mince any words in saying that one shouldn’t look down on women and should be taught about how to talk on women.
It is wrong on Humanity
“Who is the one who told you (Hardik Pandya) is my friend?” Firstly, women should not compare themselves with men. We are the best in every respect. I don’t want anyone to feel bad, but why don’t you give birth to a child?” the 33-year-old mentioned.
“We suffer from periods five days every month and even then we have to dance, go to an office, and take care of the children. When you can do all this, you become superior,” Gupta mentioned at the launch of her new single ‘Get Dirty’ in Mumbai.
“I do not think anyone should talk bad about any woman, if you think your family is not worried about it, then be it, but it is wrong on Humanity. Many times people get more excited and say such things. I think even then a little education should be given on how to talk, especially about women,” she concluded.
