Sanju Samson’s reaction to the crowd wins hearts
As the vehicle reached a group of Indian fans, the entire stand began to chant ‘Sanju, Sanju, Sanju!” to which the wicketkeeper-batter responded with a heartfelt gesture as he saluted the crowd. The video was also shared by the official Twitter account of Rajasthan Royals as they captioned the post, “The crowd loves Sanju… and he loves them back.
Talking about Samson’s performance in West Indies, the right-handed batter played a crucial knock, scoring an unbeaten 30, in the fourth T20I encounter, but he could not back it up during the final match of the series and got out early. To note, Samson’s name has not been included in the Indian squad going to participate in the upcoming 2022 T20 Asia Cup.
Meanwhile, Team India will take on Zimbabwe in a limited-over series slated to start soon. With permanent skipper Rohit Sharma has been rested, senior batter Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Indian team. However, the Men in Blue will want to focus more on the upcoming Asia Cup as they will take on their arch-rivals Pakistan in their tournament opener. It must be noted that India lost to Pakistan when these two sides met last in the T20 World Cup 2022.
