The wait is finally over as Bangladesh Women and Scotland Women are all set to push the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in motion by being involved in the first game of the edition in Sharjah.

Both respective warm-up fixtures of the two teams occurred on the same days, albeit at different venues. They also won and lost their fixtures.

While Bangladesh Women just about managed to amble their way to a paltry 110 in their allotted quota of 20 overs during their run-chase in their first warm-up game against Sri Lanka, their performance with the bat significantly improved in their game against Pakistan Women.

As for Scotland Women, they slumped to be skittled out for a lowly score of 58 against Sri Lanka Women after managing to handle their pursuit of the target pretty well in their first warm-up game.

The track at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium is well-renowned for its dry nature, assisting the pacers quite well. However, playing an afternoon game will certainly provide a bit of assistance to the spinners. The relatively smaller boundary dimensions as compared to other venues in the UAE coupled with a lush outfield would mean that the ball would make its way to the boundary rope with adequate timing.
